1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or using moviegroupies.app (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

2. What the Service does

moviegroupies lets you build and manage personal movie watchlists, rate and comment on films, and share lists with groups of other users. Movie metadata (titles, posters, ratings, overviews) is sourced from third-party providers such as TMDB and is provided "as is" — we don't guarantee its accuracy or completeness.

3. Accounts & sign-in

The Service uses passwordless, email-based sign-in ("magic links"). You're responsible for keeping access to your email account secure — anyone with access to your inbox can access your moviegroupies account. You agree to provide an accurate email address and to notify us if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.

4. Your content

You retain ownership of the ratings, comments, list names, and other content you submit ("User Content"). By posting User Content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, display, and distribute it within the Service — including to members of groups you share a list with.

You're responsible for your User Content. Don't post anything unlawful, abusive, harassing, or infringing on someone else's rights.

5. Groups & invitations

Groups let you share movie lists with other users you invite. Group admins can manage membership and invitations. Content shared to a group is visible to that group's members. Don't invite people without their consent, and don't use the invitation system to send unsolicited communications.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or bulk-extract data from the Service
• Attempt to circumvent rate limits, authentication, or other security measures
• Create accounts for the purpose of spamming, abuse, or impersonation
• Interfere with the Service's normal operation or other users' access to it

7. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, misuse the Service, or for any other reason at our discretion, with or without notice. You may stop using the Service at any time.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that movie data will always be accurate or current.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, moviegroupies and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date above.
